Article is devoted to possible approaches to the organization of a practical training on a foreign language for graduate students and the competitors preparing for candidate examination. Ways of elimination of difficulties of the organization of occupations in groups with different level of preparation and various specialties of graduate students and competitors are analyzed. The author offers the principles of selection of text materials for postgraduate occupations, imparts own experience of creation of special tasks and exercises.
